Meth Leppard are an Australian grindcore band and this is their second album.
Gatekeepers is a 10-track, 15-minute kick in the face. Meth Leppard offer up an intense dose of brutality that should find fans of bands like Axis of Despair, Insect Warfare, Leng Tch’e, Maruta, Nasum, Pig Destroyer, and Rotten Sound quite happy. Serpent Corpse are a Canadian death metal band and this is their latest EP.
I thoroughly enjoyed 2023’s Blood Sabbath, so am pleased to have this new EP from Serpent Corpse. Retaliate contains 26 minutes of new material – four tracks of hideous old-school death metal for fans of the good stuff. The Haunted are a Swedish thrash metal band and this is their tenth album.

Trivax are an Iranian/UK black metal band and this is their third album.
Trivax made a good start with 2017’s SIN, but then totally ascended a level with its 2023 follow up Eloah Burns Out – a record that has only grown in power over time. With every release Employed to Serve just seem to be getting better. This culminated in 2021’s Conquering, a record that made it onto my best of list of that year. Cancer are a UK death metal band and this is their seventh album.
As far as 90s death metal bands go, Cancer are severely underrated. When they returned in 2018 with Shadow Gripped they returned strong, and I actually can’t believe it was so long ago that it came out and that I saw them at that year’s Damnation Festival. Time really does fly. Anyway, Cancer have now returned with a new lineup, (including members of Dissocia, Eternal Storm, and Wormed), and the 46-minute Inverted World. Verheerer are a German black metal band and this is their third album.
I enjoyed 2018’s Maltrér, as well as its 2019 follow up Monolith. In fact, I thought I had reviewed the latter too, but apparently not. Cryptosis are a extreme metal band from the Netherlands and this is their second album.
