Prophetic Blasphemy contains 42 minutes of brutal modern blackened deathcore. Riven with huge breakdowns and enhanced with blackened malevolence, Prophetic Blasphemy is on the darker, heavier side of the deathcore spectrum, and I like what I hear. Church of Disgust, (featuring a member of Necrofier), are a death metal band from the US and this is their third album.
It’s been quite a while since the one-two gut punch of 2014’s Unworldly Summoning and 2016’s Veneration of Filth, although it seems that the band did release an EP in 2020, and a couple of splits before that, all of which I sadly missed. Regardless, Weak Is the Flesh is now here to swamp us with 41 minutes of old-school death metal filth, and it knows that we like it. Heaving Earth are a death metal band from Czechia and this is their second album.
Seven long years have passed since we last heard from Heaving Earth on 2015’s crushing Denouncing the Holy Throne.
