Orange Goblin – The Wolf Bites Back (Review)

Orange GoblinThis is the ninth album from UK stoner metal band Orange Goblin.

It was 2014 when we saw the release of the first-rate Back from the Abyss. It seems like it’s been a long time since then, (and it has, I suppose), but now I’m very pleased to say that Orange Goblin are back with one of their strongest and most diverse albums to date. Self-Hatred – Hlubiny (Review)

Self-HatredSelf-Hatred are from the Czech Republic and this is their second album. They play death/doom metal.

Hlubiny is the follow up to 2016’s very enjoyable Theia, which I really liked for its contemporary take on the death/doom style. Tad MoroseTad Morose are a Swedish heavy metal band and this is their tenth album.

Chapter X is quite a straightforward album to describe in many ways – Tad Morose play a mix of heavy and power metal. It’s confidently delivered, professionally recorded, and full of the type of anthemic metal that’s pretty timeless. Continue reading “Tad Morose – Chapter X (Review)”

Wooden Shjips – V. (Review)

Wooden ShjipsWooden Shjips are a US psychedelic rock band and this is their fifth album.

This album contains 42 minutes of warm, amiable, fuzzy rock. This is a band that promote peace and positivity, and this comes off this retro-soaked album in waves. Continue reading “Wooden Shjips – V. (Review)”
