Rebel Wizard – Voluptuous Worship of Rapture and Response (Review)

Rebel WizardThis is the second album from Australian one man blackened heavy metal band Rebel Wizard.

I like Rebel Wizard, (see here and here). Mixing together a personable and charismatic blend of black, thrash, and heavy metal, Rebel Wizard’s music is harsh, underground, fuzzed out, and lethally effective. Continue reading “Rebel Wizard – Voluptuous Worship of Rapture and Response (Review)”

European Annihilation Summer Tour – Dying Fetus/Carnifex/Toxic Holocaust/Goatwhore – Manchester Club Academy, 14/08/18 (Live Review)

Dying Fetus Header

Well, what a lineup. Even though the formidable Venom Prison were forced to pull out of the show, that still leaves us with four extreme metal bands that are each draws in their own right. It’s a diverse bill, one that I couldn’t afford to miss. Bring on the METAL! Interview with Arcticcircle

Arcticcircle Header

Arcticcircle’s latest album is the extremely tasty Where Ice Meets Ocean. This is a record I’d definitely recommend for any fan of earthy, underground metal that kicks ass and rocks out all over the shop.

Guitarist/vocalist Sean Vermentor filled me in on what Bush Metal is all about… Continue reading “Interview with Arcticcircle”

Forming the Void – Rift (Review)

Forming the VoidForming the Void are a progressive stoner/sludge doom band from the US. This is their fourth album.

After enjoying Forming the Void’s split with Pyreship, I was eager to hear more from the band. Thankfully, that desire has been catered to in the form of Rift; 46 minutes of new material for me to wrap my ears around. Continue reading “Forming the Void – Rift (Review)”

Nightgrave – Black Earth (Review)

NightgraveThis is the third album from Nightgrave, a one man atmospheric black metal band.
