Sanguisugabogg are a death metal band from the US and this is their third album.

Following on from 2023’s Homicidal Ecstasy comes the 48-minute Hideous Aftermath. Sanguisugabogg have created a limbering death metal monster. Laying bloody waste to all around it, it’s ridiculously enjoyable and well-crafted. Yep, this beats Homicidal Ecstasy to death and revels in its destruction. Blood Monolith – The Calling of Fire (Review)

This is the debut album from US death metal band Blood Monolith.

This is the second album from US death metal band Gates to Hell.

Gates to Hell play a form of death metal that’s been injected with hardcore urgency, grindcore intensity, and slamming heaviness. Damnation Festival 2024 – BEC Arena, Manchester – 02/11/24 (Live Review)

Another year, another Damnation Festival. As always, the organisers are to be commended for putting on one of the UK’s premier metal festivals. I’ve been coming here most years for almost two decades now, and I’ve never yet had a bad day.

Nails – Every Bridge Burning (Review)

This is the third album from Nails, a grindcore band from the US.

There are a fair few albums being released in 2024 that are hotly anticipated, including some from bands that haven’t released anything for a while. For me, near the top of that list is Every Bridge Burning by Nails. 2016’s You Will Never Be One of Us was a grindcore/powerviolence/hardcore monster, so this new record has a lot to live up to. Terminal Nation play hardcore-infused death metal, delivering 40 minutes of the stuff over 12 songs on this record. The promo blurb tells us that Echoes of the Devil’s Den is for fans of All Out War, Bolt Thrower, Earth Crisis, Maul, Xibalba, Kruelty, Fuming Mouth, and Gatecreeper, so this should give you a good idea of where Terminal Nation are coming from.
