Helfró are a black metal band from Iceland and this is their debut album.
Helfró originally briefly saw the light of day in 2018, but is now getting a fresh lease of life via Season of Mist. This appears to be the ‘proper’ release of the album, and it’s been well worth the wait it seems. After 2016’s colossal Shrines of Paralysis, this exceptional band have now returned with a new 58 minutes of imposing material. Forlesen are from the US and play doom. This is their debut album.
There are only two lengthy tracks on this album, but with a total duration of 36 minutes, that matters not. The band members in Forlesen have a lot of experience with atypical music, as they play in a variety of bands such as Lotus Thief, Kayo Dot, Botanist, Maudlin of the Well, Nero Order, Palace of Worms, and Vesper Moth.
