Containing a mixture of different gruesome ingredients, you can hear Suffocation, Bolt Thrower, and even a touch of old Amorphis in Skullcrush’s sound. Featuring 35 minutes of 90s-styled old-school death metal, Eroded have produced a worthy and enjoyable album here. With war metal influences, (musically, if not thematically), and a Scandinavian veneer, Necropath is Hellishly good fun.
Slaughterday are a German death metal band and this is their latest EP.
I have a huge soft spot for Slaughterday. Ostensibly no different to any number of other old-school death metal bands, there’s just something hard to define about them that I just really enjoy, (check out Nightmare Vortex, Ravenous, and Laws of the Occult to see what I mean).
