Cancer – Inverted World (Review)

Cancer are a UK death metal band and this is their seventh album.

As far as 90s death metal bands go, Cancer are severely underrated. When they returned in 2018 with Shadow Gripped they returned strong, and I actually can’t believe it was so long ago that it came out and that I saw them at that year’s Damnation Festival. Time really does fly. Anyway, Cancer have now returned with a new lineup, (including members of Dissocia, Eternal Storm, and Wormed), and the 46-minute Inverted World. Diabolizer – Murderous Revelations (Review)

This is the second album from Turkish death metallers Diabolizer.

Lik are a Swedish death metal band and this is their fourth album.

Rothadás – Töviskert… a Kísértés Örök Érzete… Lidércharang (Review)

Rothadás are a death/doom band from Hungary and this is their second album.

Töviskert… a Kísértés Örök Érzete… Lidércharang almost passed me by, but I heard enough underground buzz about it that I had to check it out. Cytotoxin – Biographyte (Review)

This is the fifth album from German death metallers Cytotoxin.

2020’s Nuklearth was a very good album, so it’s great to have Cytotoxin back once more. Containing 48 minutes of new material, Biographyte offers a radioactive feast of death metal for us to savour and enjoy. Allegaeon – The Ossuary Lens (Review)

This is the seventh album from US death metallers Allegaeon.

I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of the Allegaeon albums I’ve heard, (2016’s Proponent for Sentience, 2019’s Apoptosis, and 2022’s Damnum), and each has been better than the last. Now Allegaeon are back with the 46-minute The Ossuary Lens, (their shortest album so far), and have changed singer, with their their original vocalist returning to the fold. This is the second album from Decrepisy, a death metal band from the US.

Brought to us by current/ex-members of bands such as Acephalix, Ascended Dead, Coffin Rot, Necrot, Ritual Necromancy, Vastum, and Voidceremony, Deific Mourning is the 45-minute follow up to 2021’s enjoyable Emetic Communion. Corpus Offal – Corpus Offal (Review)

Corpus Offal are a death metal band from the US and this is their debut album.

I had no idea that Cerebral Rot had split up. If you don’t know them, check out 2019’s Odious Descent into Decay and 2021’s Excretion of Mortality, both very fine slabs of hideous death metal. Why is this relevant here? Because Corpus Offal have arisen from the decayed corpse of Cerebral Rot – the guitarist and guitarist/vocalist have been vomited forth into this new incarnation, and they have brought a new bassist and drummer with them, (the former ex-Demoncy, the latter from Autophagy/Bell Witch).
