Algebra – Pulse? (Review)
This is the third album from Algebra, a thrash metal band from Switzerland.
Having been impressed with 2014’s Feed the Ego, it’s been far too large of a gap between Algebra releases for my liking. Well, there’s almost an hour of material on Pulse?, including a fiery Sepultura cover, so I feel like the band have made up for their absence. Continue reading “Algebra – Pulse? (Review)”

Arallu – En Olam (Review)
Arallu are black metal band from Israel and this is their seventh album.
I always really like Arallu’s work, (check out Six, Geniewar, and Desert Battles – Descending to the Sands), so it’s exciting to see a new album emerge. Continue reading “Arallu – En Olam (Review)”
Sur Austru – Meteahna Timpurilor (Review)

Mars Red Sky – The Task Eternal (Review)
Mars Red Sky are a stoner rock band from France and this is their fourth album.
This is heavy psychedelic rock, played with passion and skill. Across 50 minutes Mars Red Sky take the listener on a journey in time, with warm emotion and luscious melody. Continue reading “Mars Red Sky – The Task Eternal (Review)”
Pyramido – Fem (Review)
Sempiternal Dusk – Cenotaph of Defectuous Creation (Review)
This is the second album from US death metallers Sempiternal Dusk.
Following up on 2014’s enjoyable self titled debut record, Sempiternal Dusk’s new album contains 37 minutes of doom-infused death metal. It’s rotten and foul, just how we like it. Continue reading “Sempiternal Dusk – Cenotaph of Defectuous Creation (Review)”
Godeater – All Flesh Is Grass (Review)
Godeater are a death metal band from the UK and this is their debut album.
This is a raging, angry slab of ferocious modern death metal. It blends modern technicality with significant atmosphere and a melodic sensibility that results in brutally effective songs that stick in the mind like barbed thorns. Continue reading “Godeater – All Flesh Is Grass (Review)”
Murder Made God – Endless Return (Review)
This is the third album from Greek death metallers Murder Made God.
Here we have 40 minutes of modern death metal, providing a sound that’s meaty and professional. Well-delivered and well-written, Endless Return is an album that impresses on first exposure, but definitely Continue reading “Murder Made God – Endless Return (Review)”
