Pathology have had a new lineup since 2017’s self titled album, including a guitarist from Condemned and vocalist from Inherit Disease. Brand of Sacrifice – God Hand (Review)
This is the debut album from Canadian death metallers Brand of Sacrifice.
At a lean 26 minutes, God Hand gets in, does its damage, and gets out again. One of the things I like about Brand of Sacrifce, however, is even though their songs tend to be short, the band aren’t afraid to play with the modern death metal formula. Now here’s an album that does exactly what it says on the tin. Slamming death metal with a zombie fixation? Why the Hell not! It would be so easy to play this kind of thing badly and end up a generic mess of gore and entrails, but do you know what? This album is just a big old ball of bloody fun. Within Destruction – Deathwish (Review)
This is the third album from Slovenian death metal/deathcore band Within Destruction.
Within Destruction’s second album Void was one that made a notable impact. Here we had an album that did deathcore right; blistering death metal extremity coupled with huge slamming deathcore beatdowns, all delivered in a modern package of brutality and carnage. Top stuff.
