Leonov – Wake (Review)

Leonov are a Norwegian doom/post-metal band, and this is their second album.

Mixing together the heart of doom with the pulse post-metal, Wake is a collection of tracks that have a deep melodic core and depth of feeling to them. In fact, powered by negative emotion, this is an album filled to the brim with feelings of loss, woe, despair, and plaintive nostalgia. It’s never maudlin though, and frequently beautiful. Striker – Play to Win (Review)

Striker are a Canadian heavy metal band and this is their sixth album.

I really like Striker. Simple, effective, well-written, and catchy as Hell, their music is just so timelessly appealing and pleasurable to listen to.
