Dyscarnate – With All Their Might (Review)

DyscarnateDyscarnate are a UK death metal band and this is their third album.

Dyscarnate play heavy, modern, aggressive death metal. With All Their Might in general can probably be described in a cursory fashion as a mix of Deicide, Job for a Cowboy, Kataklysm, and Decapitated, although this is only a starting point and there’s a lot more to this album than this might lead you to believe. Unseen Faith Logo

As I sit here typing these words, listening once again to Unseen Faith’s debut album Waver, I’m struck by just how truly passionate and engaging the band’s performance is. This comes across strongly in the vocals, of course, but it’s more than just the singer’s caustic shouts and growls; this passionate energy seems to infect every pore of the band’s delivery.

As you can see from my linked review of the album, I enjoyed it a lot, (it wouldn’t have gotten reviewed otherwise), but I must say that Waver is more of a grower than I first realised. The more I listen to it the better it gets, which is always something I ideally look for in a release.

So, sit back, listen to the embedded Bandcamp player at the bottom of the page, and have a read of the below to find out a bit more about what makes Unseen Faith as passionate as they are. Don’t get too comfortable though, as there’s some huge grooves and crushing beats to be had on Waver that are almost guaranteed to get you moving… Continue reading “Interview with Unseen Faith”

If you think of the comprehensive and Continue reading “Ruins of Elysium – Seeds of Chaos and Serenity (Review)”
