Atomgott – Apatheia (Review)

This is the debut album from Atomgott, a German death metal band.

Atomgott mix together brutal/slamming death metal and deathcore to give us 29 minutes of huge riffs and heavy aggression.

Urobilinemia – Wriggling Chrysalis of Metaphysical Grudge (Review)

Urobilinemia are a Japanese brutal death metal/deathgrind band. This is combination of their split with 妖神楽 (Ayakasi Kagura) and their debut EP.

Featuring a hard-to-decipher band logo and some quite striking cover artwork, the band make a good impression before you even listen to them. And once you do, all Hell breaks loose.

Usurpress – The Regal Tribe (Review)

Hailing form Sweden, this is the third album from Usurpress.

I like Usurpress. Both their split with Bent Sea and their last full-length, Ordained, were very enjoyable, and now they’re back with a new album that features a very good cover.

Ade – Carthago Delenda Est (Review)

This is the third album from Italy’s death metallers Ade.

Grond – Worship the Kraken (Review)

Grond are a Russian death metal band and this is their second album.

Grond play death metal that’s influenced by the old-school, with a more modern sheen then added to it all in the delivery.

Carnifex – Slow Death (Review)

This is the sixth album from Carnifex, a US death metal band.

Carnifex play modern/melodic death metal with elements of deathcore and added orchestration.

I’m not overly familiar with Carnifex, having only listened to one of their previous albums – their 2008 release The Diseased and the Poisoned; this was an okay album, but nothing particularly special, so I was not prepared at all for how far they’ve come in the last 8 years. Eradikal Insane – Mithra (Review)

Eradikal Insane are a French death metal band and this is their debut album.

Eradikal Insane play modern death metal that’s high-impact and straight to the point.
