This is the debut album from Heathe, a blackened doom/drone project from Denmark.
Apparently created by a core of one person who was then aided and abetted by multiple others, this band have crafted here a single 38-minute track named On the Tombstones. It has apparently been recorded live, with a structure enhanced by improvisation in places, which is probably why the music feels so vibrant, albeit in a bleak, nihilistic ways. Old Night are a Croatian doom metal band and this is their second album.
So, I absolutely adored Old Night’s debut album Pale Cold Irrelevance, and it made it into my best of 2017 list. As such, expectations were running high for the band’s second album.

This is the debut album from Everest Queen, a sludge metal band from the UK.
Having enjoyed 2016’s self titled debut EP it’s good to have a full length from the band now. This is progressive sludge metal, with an imposing presence and plenty of riffs. The band have returned with the even more expansive and developed Elegy.
