I always enjoy Year of the Cobra’s work. Both …in the Shadows Below and Burn Your Dead were characterful displays of doom metal, played with skill and talent. This is a compilation album featuring tracks taken from various sources. Across the album we get remixed/remastered songs, cover versions, live tracks, and the band’s original demo. This is the follow up to 2017’s Loathe, featuring 54 minutes of new material. These songs are generally longer and even more rich in substance and delivery than those of the debut, which is no mean feat. It sounds as if a lot of work has gone into The Eternal Dance.
