Sublation – The Path to Bedlam (Review)

This is the debut album from US death metallers Sublation.

I loved Fisthammer’s 2014 album Infallible. An incredible blend of blackened and technical death metal, it’s an album I still visit surprisingly often. Why do I bring this up here? Because Sublation are the reincarnation of Fisthammer, who have returned with a new name, a stripped back lineup, and a refreshed vision for extreme metal. Imperathron – Mors est Veritas (Review)

Imperathron are a blackened death metal band from Chile, and this is their debut album.

Werewolves – From the Cave to the Grave (Review)

This is the third album from Australian blackened death metal band Werewolves.

Containing current and ex-members of like Akercocke, King, Pestilence, Psycroptic, and many more, a lot of experience has gone into the creation of Werewolves’ new album. Artificial Brain – Artificial Brain (Review)

This is the third album from US technical death metal band Artificial Brain.

The follow up to 2017’s very well-received Infrared Horizon, Artificial Brain contains 46 minutes of new material, and is brought to us from current and ex-members of bands such as Aeviterne, Afterbirth, Buckshot Facelift, Coma Cluster Void, Grey Skies Fallen, and Revocation. Malthusian/Suffering Hour – Time’s Withering Shadow – Split (Review)

Malthusian are from Ireland and Suffering Hour are from the US. Both play blackened death metal, and they have teamed up for this split release.

Tine – Mergae Maris Profundi (Review)

This is the second album from US solo symphonic black/death metal act Tine.

Tine’s debut album – The Forest Dreams of Black – was one that I enjoyed a great deal, and I can’t quite believe that it came out seven years ago. I’m pleased to say that we now have a new album on the horizon – Mergae Maris Profundi – which provides us with 54 minutes of blackened death metal to hungrily consume.
