I feel Heads for the Dead are an underappreciated band. It’s Swedish death metal at its core, but with a horror theme that’s incorporated well into the music, and it’s great. Serpent’s Curse, Into the Red, The Great Conjuration, and In the Absence of Faith were all high quality outings for the band, so this new record appearing is very welcome indeed. Endseeker – Global Worming (Review)

This is the fourth album from German death metal band Endseeker.

Endseeker are a band that are very easy for me to like. Despite cooling on the Swedish death metal style over the years, I fail to be indifferent to Endseeker’s crushing assault. Both 2019’s The Harvest and 2021’s Mount Carcass were thoroughly enjoyable examples of the style, so will Global Worming follow in their thunderous footsteps? Wonderbox Metal gets sent a lot of new music, (which is great), but there’s no way that everything can get covered unfortunately, (which is not so great). This new column hopes to redress this balance, if only slightly, by taking a look at a handful of releases that a record label has recently sent out that might have otherwise slipped through the cracks.

Transcending Obscurity is an excellent record label that has released some phenomenal music over the years. I do enjoy Henry Kane’s work. If you haven’t already, make sure you check out Den Förstörda Människans Rike and the split with Prolefeed. Wombbath are a Swedish death metal band and this is their fourth album.

SWEDISH DEATH METAL!!! Yeah! Wombbath return to give us another 50 minutes of the good stuff. I have a soft spot for this style that’s undeniable, but Wombbath have proven their worth in the past. Featuring members of bands such as Ashcloud, Henry Kane, Just Before Dawn, Gods Forsaken, Heads for the Dead, Ursinne, Repulsive Vision, and many others, you know that the style is in experienced hands before even pressing play.
