Aynsophar is a Hungarian one-woman progressive death metal band.
It’s always nice to hear a bit of progressive death metal, especially when done well as it is here. Continue reading “Aynsophar – Abysmal Secrets of Unknown (Review)”

Dirtyprotest are an Irish death metal band and this is their debut album.
Essentially a one-man band with a main guest singer, (and some additional ones too), Hellstorm offers up 35 minutes of classic death metal. It’s old-school and has a predilection for the Swedish style – what’s not to like? Continue reading “Dirtyprotest – Hellstorm (Review)”
This is the third album by Costa Rican death metallers Corpse Garden.
Following up from 2015’s Entheogen, Corpse Garden are back with 51 minutes of dark, evil death metal. Continue reading “Corpse Garden – IAO 269 (Review)”
The Walking Dead Orchestra are a French death metal band and this is their second album.
Savagery, thy name is The Walking Dead Orchestra. Okay, so it doesn’t quite just fall off the tongue, but you get the idea. Continue reading “The Walking Dead Orchestra – Resurrect”
Cannibal Corpse are a legendary death metal band, and I’m pretty sure you don’t need any introduction to them.

The Kennedy Veil are a death metal band from the US and this is their third album.
I loved Trinity of Falsehood, absolutely loved it. For me, it was an almost perfect example of modern death metal, and ever since that release I’ve been eagerly awaiting their next album. Continue reading “The Kennedy Veil – Imperium (Review)”
Exhumed are a US death metal band and this is their sixth album.
I’ve had a huge, (wet, mushy, bloody), soft spot for Exhumed from the first time I heard Gore Metal way back when it came out, and ever since I’ve been a fan. I mention this only because Death Revenge is being released almost 20 years after their legendary debut, but demonstrates a band that have probably never sounded better.
Savage Annihilation are a French death metal band and this is their second album.
Savage Annihilation sound almost exactly as you imagine a band with this name would sound. It’s important to take note of the word ‘almost’ in that sentence, however, as there’s more going on here than you might initially think. Continue reading “Savage Annihilation – Quand S’baisse la Croix du Blasphème (Review)”
This is the second album from US death metallers Bloodstrike.
I like Bloodstrike a lot. There’s just something extremely satisfying about their no-frills take on old-school death metal. Their music rages and burns with the best of them, but also has an inherent honesty and authenticity that I find greatly appealing. Continue reading “Bloodstrike – Execution of Violence (Review)”
