This is the debut album from French post-black metallers Heir.
So what makes this post-black metal? Well, that would be the sludge and hardcore influences that are liberally strewn around. Continue reading “Heir – Au Peuple de l’Abîme (Review)”

Ty are an atmospheric/post-black metal band from Venezuela and this is their debut album.

Myrkur is a one woman post-black metal band from Denmark. This is her second album.

Faunus is a one-man Greek black metal band and this is his debut album.
This is atmospheric black metal, with long songs that are inspired by the natural world. Each track is dedicated to a season and has its own atmosphere and character dedicated to exploring this theme; the artist seems to have gone to great lengths in an attempt Continue reading “Faunus – Where Everything Begins with an End (Review)”
Tombs are a US post-black metal band and this is their fourth album.
Both 2014’s Savage Gold and last year’s All Empires Fall were absolute top-quality releases from this very well-regarded band. Mixing black metal with a whole host of other styles and influences to create something all Continue reading “Tombs – The Grand Annihilation (Review)”
