Boris – Dear (Review)

BorisBoris are a legenday group from Japan. Over the years they have produced so much music in so many different styles it’s actually quite difficult to keep up with them. Suffice to say, whatever they do, they usually do it very well indeed.

Wren – Auburn Rule (Review)

WrenWren are a UK sludge/post-metal band and this is their debut album.

I’ve enjoyed watching Wren develop across their 2015 split with Irk and then on their 2016 EP Host. Both releases impressed me and marked them out as ones to watch, placing them firmly on my radar. A Walk with Love and Death is an album of two halves. The Death side is a ‘normal’ Melvins album, (whatever that means in the context of their ever-changing style), while the Love side is a film score to a short film that shares the same name as this album. Tarlung – Beyond the Black Pyramid (Review)
