Nesseria – Cette Érosion de nous Mêmes (Review)

NesseriaThis is third album from French metallic hardcore band Nesseria.

Having unleashed something as heavy and violent as 2014’s Fractures, Nesseria have now returned to inflict their latest ode to sonic violence Cette Érosion de nous Mêmes; 38 minutes of intensity and aggression. Continue reading “Nesseria – Cette Érosion de nous Mêmes (Review)”

King Parrot – Ugly Produce (Review)

King ParrotKing Parrot are an Australian thrashgrind band, and this is their third album.

While 2013’s Bite Your Head Off was on the grindier side of the spectrum, but still imbued with a thrash vitality, 2015’s Dead Set played with the thrash side more, with longer songs and more involved compositions. Continue reading “King Parrot – Ugly Produce (Review)”

Implore – Subjugate (Review)

ImploreImplore are a German grindcore band and this is their second album.

What’s in a genre tag, eh? Grindcore this may be, but that appellation doesn’t tell the whole story, for that we have to expand the genre label a tad. Let’s dig a little deeper with the band’s bassist Steve Waldron… Continue reading “Interview with Helpless”

Gutslit – Amputheatre (Review)

GutslitThis is the second album from Indian death metallers Gutslit.

I have a certain fondness for Gutslit’s 2013 debut album Skewered in the Sewer. This was an extremely enjoyable release that took brutal death metal and injected a Gorerotted-style sense of playful groove and belligerence into it, resulting in a very memorable and effective album that also made it high into my best of 2013 list. Hell on Earth Tour – Cattle Decapitation/Broken Hope/Hideous Divinity/Gloryhole Guillotine – Manchester Rebellion, 04/09/17 (Live Review)

Hell on Earth Tour

It’s not often you get to see a brutal death metal lineup like this, so I was very pleased to be able to catch this tour. Continue reading “Hell on Earth Tour – Cattle Decapitation/Broken Hope/Hideous Divinity/Gloryhole Guillotine – Manchester Rebellion, 04/09/17 (Live Review)”
