Invasion are a death metal band from the US. This is their fourth album.
War metal. What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing. (Say it again).

This is The Ritual Aura’s second album. They are an Australian technical death metal band.
Well, hold on to your hat, because you won’t be expecting this.
The Ritual Aura’s 2015 debut album Laniakea was a favourite of mine. At only 26 minutes in length it was a supremely enjoyable blast of cutting-edge death metal. Tæther is, to say the least, a lot more ambitious, lasting over 70 minutes in length. In many ways this seems like a different band altogether. Continue reading “The Ritual Aura – Tæther (Review)”

After catching them live at last year’s Damnation Festival, I was very excited to eventually hear some new material from the band. Finally, the wait is over. Continue reading “Dread Sovereign – For Doom the Bell Tolls (Review)”

This is the eighth album by Combichrist, a Norwegian/US industrial metal band.
Combichrist are one of those bands that I’ve been aware of since they came out, but I’ve always managed to unintentionally avoid listening to. As this is their eighth album I’m quite late to the Combichrist party, but I’m glad I’ve finally experienced their quite personable brand of industrial metal. Continue reading “Combichrist – This Is Where Death Begins (Review)”
