2021’s Untrue and 2024’s The Promised Land? were both quality metal records, so For Eternity appearing on the horizon was most welcome. Black Sites keep regularly pumping out good music, and album number five is no different in this regard. With a new lineup in tow, Black Sites deliver a masterclass in song-based heavy metal. Black Sites – The Promised Land? (Review)

Black Sites - The Promised LandBlack Sites are a heavy/progressive metal band from the US and this is their fourth album.

The Promised Land? is the 44-minute follow up to 2021’s enjoyable Untrue. That record was a strong one, narrowly missing on on my end of year list. Monthly Overview – the Best of October 2021

October was an absolutely stacked month for great albums! It was very hard to choose just a handful below. There were so many high quality releases and I know whatever I ended up choosing I’d miss some out that deserved to be highlighted, so I’ve just gone with whatever felt right in the moment – if  had to do this list again, I’m sure there would be some changes. Black Sites - UntrueBlack Sites are a heavy/progressive metal band from the US and this is their third album.

Untrue combines progressive features with traditional heavy metal to produce a 44-minute album that’s all about the songs.
