Depravity – Bestial Possession (Review)

Depravity - Bestial PossessionDepravity are an Australian death metal band and this is their third album.

It’s been a while since 2018’s Evil Upheaval and 2020’s Grand Malevolence, but both records made their mark. Well, 2025 marks the return of the mighty Depravity, so can Bestial Possession clear the high bar set by its two predecessors? Continue reading “Depravity – Bestial Possession (Review)”

Werewolves – The Ugliest of All (Review)

Werewolves - The Ugliest of AllThis is the sixth album from Australian death metallers Werewolves.

Another year, another Werewolves album. Whether it’s 2022’s From the Cave to the Grave, 2023’s My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me, or 2024’s Die for Us, you basically know what you’re getting yourself into, and in my humble opinion it’s always gonna be good. If ferocious, unforgiving death metal, with a blackened bite and a technical edge is your thing, (along with some thrashy and grindy goodness), then The Ugliest of All is definitely for you. Proscription – Desolate Divine (Review)

Proscription - Desolate DivineThis is the second album from Finnish death metal band Proscription.

Desolate Divine contains 44 minutes of blackened death metal. This, right here, is the good stuff. Werewolves – Die for Us (Review)

Werewolves - Die for UsThis is the fifth album from Australian death metallers Werewolves.

To say I’ve been looking forward to this is an understatement. Four albums in four years, and every one a winner; Werewolves are on fire. Can Die for Us – the fifth album in five years – be just as potent as the likes of 2022’s From the Cave to the Grave and 2023’s My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me? Continue reading “Werewolves – Die for Us (Review)”

Werewolves – My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me (Review)

Werewolves - My Enemies Look and Sound Like MeThis is the fourth album from Australian death metal band Werewolves.

Following quickly on the heels of last year’s From the Cave to the Grave, Werewolves have returned with My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me, which boasts 34 minutes of lean and muscular new material. Continue reading “Werewolves – My Enemies Look and Sound Like Me (Review)”

Werewolves – From the Cave to the Grave (Review)

Werewolves - From the Cave to the GraveThis is the third album from Australian blackened death metal band Werewolves.

Containing current and ex-members of like Akercocke, King, Pestilence, Psycroptic, and many more, a lot of experience has gone into the creation of Werewolves’ new album. From the Cave to the Grave contains 35 minutes of monstrous metallic mayhem, and the band are on fire. Continue reading “Werewolves – From the Cave to the Grave (Review)”
