King Bison – Snake Head Burial (Review)

King BisonKing Bison are a UK metal band and this is their debut EP.

Fat riffs and heavy groove. If this sounds like your thing, then make sure that you check out King Bison’s music.

Taking the lead from bands like Clutch and Corrosion of Conformity, this is Southern hard rock-tinged metal that’s all about the good times and moving your body. The riffs, man, the riffs!

Catchy, memorable, and full of decent hooks, this is a rockingly good listen with plenty of metallic fun, fun, fun!

King Bison’s singer has all of the attitude and swagger that you’d want from a band like this, and I can only imagine how effective he is when the band tear it up live.

The EP lasts a mere 15 minutes, which is long enough to enjoy visiting King Bison’s world, but too brief to really get dragged into it. You know what? We could really do with longer visitation rights for next time’s visit, as 15 minutes isn’t really long enough even for the beer to take hold.

Still, what’s here is very good and most enjoyable. Hopefully next time they’ll give us even more.

Turn up the volume and get ready to rock out.
