Time Walk are a US metalcore band and this is their latest EP.
Heaviness, thy name is Time Walk.
Combining muscular hardcore from the 1990s with metal crunch from the same era, this is 24 minutes of dense, brawny metallic hardcore.
Ever wondered what it would sound like if Merauder, Obituary, Demolition Hammer, Born from Pain, and Death got into a giant fight? Wonder no longer…
These songs make me nostalgic for the 90s. They really do. This kind of music still has a place in 2017 of course; the mosh pit is certainly one such place. Huge breakdowns, violent guitars, and a singer with a hearty roar make for a collection of songs that seem crafted specifically to get you moving in the live environment. These tracks stomp, flail, and crush with the best of them.
With relentless groove, thrashing riffs, and enough mid-paced destruction that the EP should carry warning labels, this is a very enjoyable atavistic throwback to what now, in retrospect, seems like simpler times.
Respect the heaviness.
