This is the fourth album from Spanish black/death metal band Teitanblood.
From the Visceral Abyss is a 52-minute tornado of violence and destruction. Teitanblood don’t mess around, and this is a punishing record of black/death metal barbarity that’s unexpectedly moreish.
This is music that’s raw, underground, and nasty. It’s intense and hyper-aggressive, using violence as a musical weapon to achieve its devastating impact.
The barriers between black and death metal are torn down without care. All that matters is the chaos, the mayhem, the bloodshed. Teitanblood rage, scream, and lash out through it all, causing carnage with their intensity and saturating the world with their malevolent horror. Despite the raw feral attack of From the Visceral Abyss, it is also imbued with a malefic atmosphere that reaches out from the music to crush your spirit.
Teitanblood are brutal, but not without skill. From the Visceral Abyss may present as an unfettered ball of frenzied insanity, but there is method to this madness. The band keep a guiding hand on the chaotic brutality, directing it sometimes, while unleashing it fully at others. This is especially notable on the closing 15-minute epic Tomb Corpse Haruspex, which is a marriage of grim atmosphere and stark ferocity.
Utterly merciless and entirely unforgiving, From the Visceral Abyss is a hideously strong record. It should go without saying that this is absolutely not an album for the uninitiated, but if you want blasting mayhem, screaming solos, daemonic vocals, and malignant atmosphere, then this is an unmissable album. Teitanblood have produced something remarkably potent here.

TB are the goats of goat metal imo. Once again WBM covers all the best metal has to offer. M/
