Rezn & Vinnum Sabbathi – Silent Future (Review)

Rezn & Vinnum Sabbathi - Silent FutureThis is a collaboration between two doom bands, Rezn from the US and Vinnum Sabbathi from Mexico.

Silent Future is a 32-minute collaborative effort that’s effortlessly satisfying. Rezn and Vinnum Sabbathi work together with seamless ease, and the album is an exemplar of creative effectiveness.

Silent Future takes the listener on a journey into cosmic psychedelia and mood-focused soundscapes. It has hypnotic droning qualities and astral presence, but also its fair share of massive riffs. From calm ethereal wandering to doom-drenched heaviness, Silent Future expresses vivid musical tapestries ripe with detail and texture.

The well-crafted music is constructed from quality materials throughout, and I mean it in a positive way when I say that this doesn’t sound like the work of ten individual musicians. Rather, it sounds like one cohesive collection of individuals with one cohesive vision. Silent Future is superbly wrought, with emotive songwriting and atmospheric depth that shines through all corners of the music.

Razn and Vinnum Sabbathi have produced an exceptional record of psychedelic doom. Silent Future has much to offer fans of the style, and it’s rich depths have many rewards and treasures to discover.

Very highly recommended indeed.
