Standard Interrogation Techniques: Five Questions for Tithe (Interview)

Although I’d ideally love to be able to conduct hard-hitting, in-depth interviews, who has the time these days? In lieu of this, I’ve thrown together the below question template, hopefully to gather some interesting and informative results, without taking up too much of anyone’s time.

Introduce yourself – who are you and what do you do?

Matt Eiseman – Guitar/Vocals.

Tell us about your latest release and why people should listen to your music

Our latest release Inverse Rapture on Profound Lore Records is our sophomore album. It is an evolution of our writing style that builds off of our last album Penance. Inverse Rapture has more of a death and black metal influence than our previous releases. My goal when I write music is to write songs and riffs that I would want to listen to.

What’s the most important thing to you about your music? What meaning does it give you and what purpose does it serve in your life?

Music for me is a cathartic release. It is a tool for me to let out all of the negative feelings that feed on my existence. Without music I would explode.

Tell us a lesser-known interesting or funny anecdote about your band or music

No. Ha ha.

Finally, what are you listening to at the moment that you especially enjoy and wish more people knew about?

I personally listen to all genres of music. There are so many awesome new bands out there. I am always stoked to find them and hear what people are working on. Music is the best! Thank you for reviewing our record. We appreciate you!
